Character Info
Name: K'al
Rank: Bronzerider
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Appearance:
As a lad, K'al was a short, muscular and broad shouldered. And like any muscleman would, he'd parade about his home Hold and his destined Weyr with his torso shown. Well, at his current age not much has changed. But fortunately for K'al, he he's grown a few more inches leaving him at 5'10" and weighing 170lbs.
His complexion is as dark as it had been during his youth. Against this color, his blond hair almost sparkles like gold. When worn out, his hair falls just short of his rear. But K'al binds his strands with a bow not wanting it to hinder his vision. However, it seems some parts of his hair does just that. He has several large clumps of hair which fall just over his right upper lash. While two or three clumps of hair lengthen well past his left eye. K'al is always brushing these aside from his brown eyes.
His manner of attire is simple. K'al wants everyone to view his manly pecks and hairy arms. So, the man will strut about town with nothing more than his slacks. But when the occasion calls for it, he will wear what's appropriate.
Personality:
K'al's the best in every way. He's strong, dashing...has awesome pecks. No other explanation is needed to defined his manliness. So, who could blame K'al for his arrogance? No one, but his arrogance is spurred only from his strength.
Also, he's not exactly the brightest star. And as a lad, he would sputter whatever appeared in his mind. This caused him a lot of trouble and humiliation. As an adult, he still has those same dimwitted ideas, but he's learned to keep them to himself...for the most part.
His out look on the world and his people have also altered from his age. Once upon a time, he would disregard a person simply because of their sex. Now, he disregards everyone until they've proved their worth. However, the man's too prideful to attempt he was wrong. Even with this, one will know they've earned his favor; he'll treat them slightly better than the rest.
History:
Kathal's life began at a Sea Hold. He was born the youngest out of four siblings. These siblings being male, Kathal's earliest ideas and then on were already out of balanced. And this was because his father was a very traditional man. He believed men and women were appointed certain jobs. Fishing being the major task, which required strength he believe women didn't possess, his father felt maternal tasks were more suited for them. After all, that was how their forefathers lived, so why not now?
Anyhow, all of Kathal's younger days were spent at sea. He fished, he gutted fish, he...ate fish. Yes, his life was very eventful. But the boy wanted more. During his few of the leisure times he had, Kathal would listen to the the old Watchrider and his adventures. Such stories fascinated him, gave him something to dream toward.
But one day, Kathal wished to make this dream a reality. During his free time, he spoke to the Watchrider about wanting to get searched. This dilemma was easily solved because the Watchrider's dragon just so happened to be blue.
But during this conversation, the dragon gazed intently after the boy. And when the question of how Kathal was to be searched, the Watchrider explained to him that the task had already been done. His dragon had felt he could be a possible candidate.
So, he was soon shipped to a Weyr to participate in the hatching. The first egg which roused was a bronze and of course, he was the only one suited for such an honor. And thus began the start of K'al's and his pair's life together.
They two did everything together: Eat. Bath. Train...train some more. As time moved forward, the two aged in years and in their partnership. Finally, K'al could truly be called a Dragon Rider. And as a Dragon Rider, he among many other riders were sent to the Southern Weyr.
Too soon after his settlement, he heard of the great fiery ball which decimated the two major Weyrs. He hadn't been raised within either of those Weyrs, but to have so many lives lost because of a random occasion. What if he had been in one of those Weyrs during that horrible time? Quite frankly, that moment had changed the man's whole outlook on life

Name: Lanith
Type: Dragon
Color: Bronze
Age: 7 years
Genealogy:
Appearance:
Lanith is a foreboding figure on account of his large size for a Bronze. But there's nothing spectacular about this dragon besides his monstrous size. His color varies slightly under his belly, being a lighter shade than his bronze hue. Also, the ridges of his wings are a darker hue.
Because Lanith form is bulky, his wings are longer and slightly stronger to accommodate his weight. So, as an endurance flier, one could consider him on of the best. He can travel great distances without having to flap. This, however, has caused Lanith to be a slow flier. Excessive use of his wings tire him quickly, but they also have the strength to quickly propel him forward is need be.
Personality:
There is not a humble bone in this bronze's body; he pulls rank on anyone and everyone, hardly even respecting the Queen dragons of the Weyr. He is swift-tempered, but easily calmed; this keeps him from utterly destroying something when he's in a fit of anger. Of the mindset that the Weyr is and has always been his, he reminds other male dragons of that frequently, fully expecting that when a queen flies, it will be him to catch her.
