Character Info
Name: X'ynth
Full Name: Xaiorynth
Rank: Weyrling (Beastcraft Journeyman)
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Homosexual
Height: 5'11”
Hair: Copper Chestnut (red-brown, you could say)
Eyes: Aquamarine
Skin Tone: Dark golden tan
Build: Slim build
Identifying Characteristics: His left ear is pierced with a small, silvery hoop earring with little designs on it. Very easy to make blush.
Appearance: With a slim build, a dark-ish tan, Xaiorynth looks like you average outdoorsy type that spent too much time in the sun – which makes sense, seeing as he dislikes being indoors. His copper chestnut hair is a wavy mess on top of his head, long enough in the front to just begin to cover his eyes and longer in the back, reaching to the nape of his neck. In the right sunlight, it shines more orange-red than brown, contrasting with his aqua eyes, fire and ice. Those very same eyes are very expressive, showing nearly his every emotion, no matter how much he may try to hide it, changing with his every mood. As if to go with the expressive eyes in his possession, Xaiorynth's facial structure is more on the delicate side of masculine, though you would by no means be able to call him feminine.
Being the size that he is build-wise, Xaiorynth could be what you call muscular, though not bulky – just enough to get a sort of wiry strength out of him suited for living on his own, even if such a thing isn't exactly possible with Threadfall. He is by no means weak, but you pit him up against another person or two, and he would surely lose a fight if it lasted too long. Better for him, stealth would be, being fleet-footed and nimble-fingered. The funny part about this is that one could mistake him for a dancer, the way he carries himself, with the flow of his walk and grace of his steps – even his hips sway a bit. The only thing is that he can't dance one step.
Personality: X'ynth was more or less brought up and raised in the Southern branch of the Beastcraft Hall. So, it's safe to say that he is far more comfortable with the runners that he works with than with people, which might be why he can come off as cold, harsh, and condescending. He generally doesn't like people, and he isn't afraid to let them know it. Why should he when he had been raised to be honest and forthcoming with his thoughts? The truth of the matter is that he simply doesn't know how to treat people, or even behave around them sometimes. They get him uncomfortable, so he then proceeds with his cold behavior, and pushes them away from him, often snapping at the person with no warning. It isn't that he has much of a temper, just that people tend to assume that he does because of the way that he acts.
He is of a calmer, more serious mindset than he leads others to believe, and not nearly half as angry a person as he can act. But, for Xaiorynth, a lot of things are white and black, with no grays – or nearly. They either are, or they aren't, and they stay that way until he has reason to believe that his view on things should change. And, of course, it would take something concrete, not merely some wishy-washy reason or theory that someone cooked up. Which is why he never changed his mind about his dislike of people. He had been open to it up until the point that he had been tricked and lied to, played with the ease that a Harper plays his instrument. Now it's each man for himself, in his eyes, and you'd have a hell of a lot of proving to do.
Perhaps the man's most embarrassing thing about himself is that he is cursed with an easy blush. Okay, so one would need to know him at least a bit, but if you found something to tease him with, watch the fireworks! And that's not all, folks! Put him in an awkward situation, and you have a not only blushing, but a stuttering, awkward, male on your hands. Always a fun thing to watch.
History: Born and raised near and in the Beastcraft Hall, Xaiorynth lived a quiet life with his family, learning skills that he would eventually need later in life. Ever since he was a child, he'd been fascinated by the runnerbeast that roamed the fields on nice days. Once he was old enough – or maybe his parents merely gave into what he wanted – the boy began his apprenticeship. Obviously, it wasn't as glamorous as he thought it would be. Because he was younger than most when he was first admitted, Xaiorynth was often stuck with the tasks that no one else wanted to do, like mucking out the pens. As much as he disliked those tasks, however, they also meant that he could be that much closer to the beasts that were the one real focus in his mind. He never complained about it.
Ever the one to take small liberties when he knew that no one was around to catch him, Xaiorynth would sometimes sneak into one of the runner's pen, to stroke it, or maybe brush it. Normally, this went without a problem, and he could usually get away with saying that he was clumsy, when something did happen. One time, however, the boy decided that he wanted to mount the runner. Still being a little smaller than the other boys, and inexperienced, the runner threw him off, sending him flying toward a bale of hay, which he was lucky enough to have his head land on. His ankle wasn't so lucky. Once he had been discovered, a Healer was called for, and he was sent home to his parents due to a broken ankle. Although he had been told that there was a chance that he might not be able to pursue his dream, Xaiorynth managed to get readmitted as an apprentice, and was recently promoted to a Journeyman.
Random Facts: Although he doesn't know it yet, Xaiorynth is homosexual, though he merely believes that he hasn't met a girl who has caught his interest yet.
Dragon & Wher Information
Name: Vyskelth
Type: Dragon
Color: Amber
Age: Hatchling
Egg: Hey Jealousy!
Genealogy: Phaelith x Niketh
Appearance: For a dragon, Vyskelth is just as attractive as her blue Clutchbrother Nymrath. In every aspect she is as perfectly designed as a dragon could be asked to be. Every inch of her is properly toned and reasonably muscled, though not overly so that she is bulky or appears to be round like Xelarith. With a slightly longer tail than other dragons of her size and those of her color, Vyskelth has a good way with direction in the air. She might have the size of a brown, but she flies far more like a blue. With wings perfectly designed for aerial tricks, it is clear that she’ll never be an endurance flier, but that’s perfectly fine with her!
As far as coloring goes, her reddish-yellow hide is very pretty. For a dragon that is not ‘metallic,’ Vyskelth shimmers like she is. In every light, she gives off a very clear red tint. Light reflects off of her hide in various shades of dark red to very dark yellow. Her hide will rarely need oiling, as it so happens, a gift from her mutation. Vyskelth’s hide is far thicker and much denser, allowing the skin to keep together a little more without needing to add extra oiling. However, her lifemate will find that it is best to bathe her regularly, at least, as she looks rather dull and unattractive with a dirty hide for her ‘reflectors’ dampen to the point where she doesn’t seem to shine at all.
Personality: Vyskelth’s choosing of X'ynth seems quite unnatural as the two are as different as night and day. While he pulls away from people, Vyskelth constantly reaches out. Where he gets awkward and cold, Vyskelth shines brightly and warmly, invitingly. She is completely unassuming and has a tendency to give others the benefit of the doubt, something that her rider might not. Her need to branch out will inevitably force her rider to do so as well, as she is extremely clingy of him. Where most Weyrlings will be content to allow their rider out of their sight after the first two to three sevendays, Vyskelth will need much longer to get used to being separated from X'ynth.
Her strong personality will most likely drag her rider along, as she is as stubborn as he is when it comes to other people. Where he most certainly never give another person a second chance at friendship or courtship, Vyskelth is naïve enough to believe that everyone can change if they really want to. She is completely unaware of the ‘evils’ in this world that involve deceit and misuse of trust. In that, she will learn invaluable lessons from her rider. Her sympathetic nature, however, will only spur her onto trying harder to get someone to come around or to accept her company. Perhaps this is why she constantly nettles Nymrath. She cannot understand why he cannot understand her feelings. Vyskelth believes that if she tries hard enough she can get him to open up, giving her the favorite pastime/game: Hop on Nymrath. Because of her need to constantly assess and help people and her need to be in the lives of others, Vyskelth will rise and rise often, much more so than another dragon of her same coloring.
