Character Info
Name: Azfraeyiveer ... He goes by Aziae
Shortened: A'veer
Rank: Weyrling
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Homosexual
Appearance: Azfraeyiveer is a young man with thick black-grey hair that is cut in many layers, and falls wildly just a tad longer than his shoulders. Unruly and quite hard to get a brush through, it seems to flow and ripple with the faintest breeze of wind despite its thickness. His eyes are what are most striking about his features, however. With eyes the fair soft colour of mirror grey, the greyness in his eyes seemed to absorb every colour around him, creating an illusion that they are never twice the same colour.
Born with the build of an artist, Aziae doesn’t have the bulky muscular form of men, or the lithe muscular form of men. Rather, he has the dainty lithe hands of a crafter who could sit and weave the smallest of designs all day, or mould clay without a moment of hesitation. Slim, and quite slight of body, he has long graceful limbs and the faintest trace of hips with a height of 5’11”. His skin is a soft coffee-cream colour that seems to contrast with his hair quite nicely. Even the features of his face appear soft upon the first quick glance, however at a closer look, they are slowly becoming more defined with age, and it is common knowledge that he will loose that gentle femininity around his jaw, if not anywhere else. It isn’t much of a loss for him, now people won’t mistake him as a female upon the first glance!
Another eye catching detail about this male is the fact that he tends to float when he walks. Oh no, not the hovering upon the ground type of floating, but the gentle hip movement that allows someone to look as though they are gliding across the ground with little effort. And here he tries to pull off as male… Unfortunately for him, this type of walk requires the faintest movement of the hips, which he isn’t afraid to use. As long as people don’t stare, he’s happy!
An artist in many shapes and forms, Azfraeyiveer is a drawer and a potter. He adores shapes and colours in every form or size, and he can spend hours out in the sunlight sketching with all the liberty in the world. Even his body is his canvas when he gets bored enough. However, he’d be happy to draw anything for anyone.
Personality: Quiet and most assuredly reserved, Aziae doesn’t seem to speak much to anyone that he doesn’t know. Far from the edge of being rude and impolite, of course, he will gladly keep a conversation going if someone were to approach him, using the utmost polite terms until he becomes familiar with them. Though he can appear somewhat lively and energetic, this isn’t exactly the case. Happiness and joy aren’t very dominant emotions. They tend to flow over him softly, serenely, showed only with a faint soft smile, or even the rarest chuckle. A smile means nothing if it isn’t felt in his eyes. There is no reason to lie to the world around him.
Strong upon his beliefs, the man believes that politeness should be given to everyone, and everyone is entitled to respect. Most of his respect is given to those that he can tell just by looking at them that they have gone through hardships, however. They have gone through so much suffering that he doesn’t believe that they should be treated any different than the rest. And to add on to this, this is probably one of his weaknesses to show his very kind heart. He’d be likely to take a person under his wing whether than watch them struggle with the trials of life that they do not need to go through alone.
Though patience is one of his masteries, he doesn’t seem to enjoy being questioned so much. Possibly because questions, or asking too many questions can sometimes make the answers harder to consider, and some people twist questions in such a way that they become attacks. This isn’t something that he enjoys. Trickery and treachery isn’t very high in his regards, and he sometimes thinks that there is a lack of loyalty in the world.
Positively and absolutely homosexual, Azfraeyiveer does a very good job of hiding it. He knows how the rest of Pern views such a lifestyle as that, and he doesn’t want to be the one to have to suffer because of his love interest. In saying this, some people can portray him as a lady’s man because he is always very courteous towards them. They’ve gone through enough to be shown disrespect themselves. A woman should always be respected, because many tasks would go undone without them. ((He isn’t very clear. I’ll rewrite this when I figure him out fully))
History: (Let the shame begin...) Aziae was born the only son in a family of five other girls. Born in Ista Hold, one would think that he would have turned out to be a wonderful fisher, and that was his father’s dream. But unfortunately (for his father), Aziae turned out to be an artist, drawing for a living, and developing a passion that his dad couldn’t shake. His life was so mundane, that when the asteroid struck, his family was pretty much oblivious until the horror swept through the land. His family even escaped the aftermath.
It was at the age of 15 turns that Aziae decided to go out and see the world. He traveled with a group of fishers, gaining a tad bit of muscle, and learning the ways of the sea for a while, visiting Pern after the disaster. In his free time, he drew whatever he could find, often drawing the dragons that soared through the air. It was on one of the days where they landed in a Hold that he was Searched by Southern Weyr. Today, that is where he can be found, wandering around, or drawing. (End shame...) (Now that the shame is gone, I'll edit this when I get a better idea of what I can do to him. xD)
Dragon Info
Name: Nymrath
Type: Dragon
Color: Blue
Age: Hatchling
Egg It’s All About Me
Genealogy: Phaelith x Niketh
Appearance: Long and lanky, this blue might have the length of a brown, but he’s so lithe that he couldn’t be mistaken for one even if he rolled in the mud all day. Nymrath’s whole body looks like it’s been stretched and compacted to give him his thin looks and long frame. From tip to tail, he breaks past the normal limits set by his color and sits coolly at 29 feet. Because of his too long body, he’s forever tripping up on his tail, his feet, and so forth. Even in his maturity, he’ll look far more awkward on the ground than most dragons naturally do. His long face gives him a mildly depressed appearance, like all his emotion slides lethargically off of him.
For a blue, his coloring is extremely attractive. For the most part, he looks like he’s carved out of pure sapphire with lighter robin’s egg blue streaks along his neck, cheeks, and down his throat. Along his belly and on the sides of his body, ‘electric’ blue stripes intermingle and zigzag across his hide. His wing sails are a cascading mixture of these three colors and his tail has the similar markings.
Personality: Much like his rider, Nymrath is a quiet and soft spoken dragon. He might have opinions, but he seems the most traditional out of the bunch: He will not raise a word of question nor rebuttal to any dragon (traditional five or otherwise) who sits higher than he on the dragon’s natural hierarchy. Unlike his very emotional Clutchbrother Trogdorth, Nymrath is less prone to emotional displays and isn’t privy to physical affection, from his rider or otherwise. He lacks empathy startlingly so. He doesn’t have any real perception of the feelings of those around him and will often find himself stepping on the toes of other dragons – and quite possibly people – verbally because he just doesn’t understand that words can hurt.
However, it is a good thing that he has Turns and Turns and Turns of patience. Nymrath will never find himself in a situation that will make him impatient or irritable. If not, he’d prove to be quite snappish and unlikeable, though in his current state, most dragons find his company neither depressing nor great. When he can, he takes after his rider in that he is exceedingly polite, almost to the point of dryness. Of course, Nymrath will inevitably come off as dry and uncaring simply because he really cannot express his emotions very well. As a weyrmate, it will only be his lifemate’s affection and devotion to another that will sway this blue out of his solitary and uncaring cloud of emotionlessness. With his rider’s help, Nymrath may find himself breaking out of this particular shell and may eventually come to understand those around him better and find ways in which he can relate to them.
