Character Info
Name: T’zon
Rank: Weyrlingmaster
Age: 21 Turns
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Appearance: T’zon has thick black hair that isn’t exactly long, but isn’t only clinging to his head either. His bangs moved to the sides of his face, with the occasional rare strand of hair on his face. T’zon likes his black hair, because in his opinion, that means no one can tell as well if his hair is dirty, as opposed to if he had a lighter color of hair, like blond. T’zon’s eyes are a light shade of brown.
T’zon’s body is lean; he was built to be swift, not muscular. He has great agility and speed, and he doesn’t slip or fall often. However, he lacks strength and has to make up for it with other things. T’zon was born with a high metabolism rate, and he burns fat quickly, keeping him thin. He doesn’t mind his lack in muscle strength that much, so long as he is still swift. If he can still accomplish most things he wants to do, T’zon doesn’t care how he was born and what his strengths and weaknesses are.
Personality: When you see T’zon, the first thing you are likely to see about him is that he will probably have a grin on his face. There could be several reasons for this grin, but the most likely reason is that T’zon is the optimistic type. He tends to look on the bright side of life, and doesn’t let what others think bother him. He makes his own decisions, and when something goes bad, he tries it again and again. He doesn’t get disheartened easily by failure. His happy outlook can sometimes cheer up others, which makes T’zon happier.
T’zon is always trying to cheer up pessimistic people. This doesn’t always work out for him. Most of them will tend to reject his optimism, either because they are mad at him for trying to make them feel better, ultimately ruining their day somehow, or because they are jealous of how optimistic he is. Although he always tries to make them think on the bright side of life, they are generally to pessimistic to think they could succeed in that. T’zon eventually realized he wouldn’t be able to make them more optimistic, but he still tries sometimes anyway.
T’zon isn’t exactly lacking in intelligence, but it can take awhile for him to pound something into his head. It takes him longer to learn things then most people, and some people think of him as stupid or slow because of that, but he is only slow, not stupid. Once he does learn something important, it doesn’t usually slip his mind. If it isn’t that important, he will forget it a lot easier. All those silly day-to-day things are something T’zon will forget an hour or so after it happened. T’zon won’t remember what he had for breakfast by lunch time. Everything he needs to know he can remember, but everything that isn’t important and won’t impact his life very much, T’zon will forget soon enough.
You may have noted from the above paragraph that T’zon doesn’t have the best memory. He tends to forget things easily. If you want him to remember you’re name, you will have to tell it to him repeatedly. Other people definitely have better memorizing skills than T’zon has. He relies greatly on Wequith to remember things for him, because he certainly isn’t going to remember them. Without Wequith to help him, T’zon never could have become the Weyrlingmaster. T’zon can memorize things; he just doesn’t do a very good job of it.
T’zon doesn’t lie about anything, which is a good thing. On the other hand, he doesn’t believe other people will lie either. He finds it hard to think someone is lying, and won’t even think for a second that someone might be lying to him or someone else. This makes T’zon a very gullible person. T’zon doesn’t lie about things, he doesn’t think lying is something anyone should do, and doesn’t understand why people would do it. The best thing he can do is refrain from mentioning something, he won’t lie about anything, even if a friend asked him to, he would only refrain from mentioning. This doesn’t work if someone asks him a direct question, which he has to answer.
T’zon is the proactive type of person. He doesn’t let others ruin his day. He knows that if something goes wrong for him, it’s his fault, and he shouldn’t blame someone else. If something bad happens, he doesn’t give up. He comes back and tries it again. He usually tries until he succeeds, though with some things he has learned he shouldn’t keep trying. T’zon mainly focuses on the things he can change, though he does sometimes worry uselessly about the things that he cannot change, no matter how much he may want to.
History: T'zon was born in a Hold. He became a Candidate and was to go between times to Impress to a dragon. He was excited and anxious about this. He went between times with the other Candidates and waited eagerly for the hatching to take place.
When he was 15 Turns old and went to a hatching, T’zon was impatient and also wondering if he would ever Impress. In that hatching, a Bronze dragon hatched and moved towards T’zon. He watched it, wondering if he would be the rider of a Bronze dragon. Maybe he would have been if they dragonet hadn’t seen someone he seemed to like better behind T’zon. He stepped over T’zon to get the boy behind him.
Then Wequith hatched, and after looking around uncertainly, started towards the male candidates. T’zon looked at the dragon, hoping he wouldn’t be stepped on twice. The voice broke into his head: T’zonMine! T’zonMine! Are you alight? Wequith does not like to see you hurt! With that, T’zon became rider of Brown Wequith. He doesn’t regret anything from the hatching, and always loved his life.
Weyrling lessons always interested T’zon. He liked learning how to take care of his dragon. When he became a dragonrider at last, T’zon was overjoyed. Finally, he was out of lessons and training! Still, T’zon always liked the Weyrling lessons, and when the former Weyrlingmaster died, T’zon became the Weyrlingmaster. He loves the job, though it has its responsibilities and tough parts. For T’zon, the toughest part is remembering the names of all the weyrlings and dragons. Wequith helps him a great deal with it, but it is still a tough part. T’zon would never trade being Weyrlingmaster for anything, though.
Dragon/Wher Info
Name: Wequith
Type: Dragon
Color: Brown
Age: 6 Turns
Genealogy: Gold Yaniath and Bronze Koloth
Appearance: Wequith has a dark brown hide that can look black at night. Plenty of people have mistaken it as black when they see Wequith at night. During the day, it is very easy to tell his hide isn’t black, just a dark brown color. Wequith is a very small Brown dragon at 30 feet in length. He is more agile and speedy than most Brown dragons, though, thanks to his size.
Personality: Wequith’s memory is much better than his rider’s. He is the one that remembers everything and continually tells it to T’zon every time he forgets it. Wequith tends to be on good terms with most dragons. He doesn’t get in fights very much, partially because he is proud of his better agility, and also because he doesn’t like fighting in general. On the other hand, Wequith can be a quite demanding dragon. He requires quality time alone with his rider everyday.
